The nose is layered with aromas of dried fruit, black raspberry, and sweet vanilla. The palate is warm and full with flavors of black raspberry, dates, and spice. This warm port-style dessert wine will make a great fireplace sipper or accompaniment to blue cheese and spiced nuts.
55% Petit Verdot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Merlot. Fermented on the skins in open-top fermenters with twice-daily punchdowns. Barrel aged for 3 1/2 years. Fortified with grape brandy to 24% ABV. Bottled April 2017, 77 cases.
